Location for filming – Hong Kong island
Originally, I considered to choose Central and Sham Shui Po for my filming locations as these two districts are generally deemed as the contrast to each other in terms of per capita income. The initial idea for the content of video is to find out the famous Hong Kong food in Central and Sham Shui Po according to OpenRice and really go there and try if those on-the-list food is that tasty as people say. The outcome of the experiment was set to be the food in Central is expensive and not that really tasty, whereas the food in Sham Shui Po is cheap and delicious which is out of expectation.
Finally, after further discussion and second thought, the above idea is replaced with the one which focuses on the food itself rather than the district. This makes the theme of my video, Hong Kong food – food that originates in Hong Kong, more outstanding. Thus, the final decision is to restraint the filming location in Hong Kong island rather than one or two specific districts, and to find out the food which the interviewees randomly selected in the street think can represent Hong Kong and taste good.
