Blog 8 – Animation
Due to time constraints, I had once and to keep the
consistency of the film, I had once again acquired the help of the animator
from my previous film and as previously done given a script and storyboard as
well as monitor the progress and direction of the animation but largely left
the style and animating to the animator.
At the beginning, I had wanted traditional frame by frame
animation drawn by hand on paper then scanned onto the computer as I believed
it to be of higher quality than when drawn with the help of programs such as
photoshop or illustrator. However, this proved to be extremely time consuming
and had ask the animator to switch to digitally assisted drawing, using the
Intuos Wacom and Adobe Photoshop to save time as I was worried that there would
not be enough time to edit it into the final video and align it with the
audio.
