Cultivation theory
The standard of courtesy, I believe everyone would be different. Politeness is not only on the ideological and moral level, but also the cultural accomplishment and communication skills of our external performance. We have to learn the courtesy from appearance, manner, expression, costumes, conversation, and interpersonal skills. In addition to the performance of respect for others, but also the principle of self-discipline which farewell to uncivilized both words and deeds. But it is certain that the Hong Kong children grew up over-indulgence from their parents, they would become more self-and rude than the previous generation. And children like to imitate, the parents of the body and mind are equally important. The point of view of the cultivation of relatively stable and common images, the pattern that counts is that of the total pattern of programming to which total communities are regularly exposed over long periods of time.(Gerbner, 1986) Of course, television or other media have a very big impact on us. When we come into contact with the same pattern for a long time, in the course of time we will rationalize the original unreasonable things. Similarly, when the parents use the rude attitude treat to others or when the TV broadcast the programs which are relatively poor moral education, children will easily mistakenly believe that this is the right thinking, and thus learn the wrong message. Therefore, I am hoping that I can delete and correct the wrong thinking of people.
