Nam Shan Estate is a public housing estate in Sham Shui Po and it aged over 30. Slab shape of the buildings is commonly found in most of the old public housing estates in Hong Kong. When we overlook from Nam Shan Estate, we are able to view City University of Hong Kong and Lion Rock.
Nam Shan Estate belongs to a new type of housing design and each household links between a long corridor. |
Facades from each of the buildings have been refurbished and some of the aged park facilities have been removed. |
It's encouraged to chat with the residents, especially the old generations. You can get more satisfaction rather than taking photos. |
The most popular place of taking photos is the playground above the market. |
Here's an area surrounded on three sides by the buildings and it forms particular view. |
