My chosen artist, Denise Ho Wan See is having a very often media exposure in recent year as mentioned. However most of her media exposure is not based on her entertainment career but mostly on political and social issues. For the most recent and impressive one that Denise Ho made onto media outlets is the conflict with international cosmetics brand, Lancome, which have cancelled their sponsorship to Denise Ho’s concert due to the opposition from China netizens. As Denise Ho have a strong image on againsting China, and she is being banned from having entertainment activities in China inwardly. So Lancome cancelled their sponsorship to save their China business. This conflict have made a large impact toward Hong Kong society that they came up to fight against Lancome and show their support to Denise Ho. At last Denise Ho held a free mini concert on the street and the response is very large that many people went to there to show their support.
