Research on Michael Wolf Photography
Michael Wolf is a German artist and he is a
photographer as well. He lives and works between Hong Kong and Paris. In the
series of Architecture of Density, he photographed the Hong Kong’s tall
buildings such as public housing estates and described them as abstractions,
never-ending repetitions of architectural patterns. Besides, in the series of
100x100, he took photographs of residents in their rooms in the buildings in
one of the oldest public housing estates in Hong Kong, Shek Kip Mei Estate. He applied
a wide-angle lens in order to have an investigation regarding to the use of
limited space.
