Editing
Editing this film took the most time out of all
the production time as I had to combine the animation with the taken footage
seamlessly which proved to be quite a challenge. There was a bit of an issue
regarding the transition of the animated characters on Photoshop into Premiere
as we have tried making an animation directly on Photoshop by using the
timeline feature. However, we did not realize until later that the time on
Photoshop’s timeline overrules the timeline on Premiere Pro, thus creating gaps
of disappearing content. Besides that, I also realized that I had shot too much
and the original uncut version lasted for 25 minutes even without any
animation. This was, of course, cut down to the limit of 15 minutes or below.
Music was another issue as I had to try many
different types of music to match the mood of the situation on screen. And in
the end, I have decided that techno/ electric – genre of music would suit my
film the best.
