The title of the video is The hub of Hong Kong: Central. The reason of this location as the hub of Hong Kong is Central integrates with commercial area and residential area, sea side and mountain view, skyscraper and historical buildings, business trading and community arts. Its urban planning and historical signification affect human behaviour in the neighbourhood, the footages can be divided into 2 major parts: Objects such as buildings and transportations; and human. To maintain the complexity of Central, superimposition and collage are the film languages to present through my video.

Superimposition

“Superimposition is when two or more image are placed over each other in the frame. This effect can be accomplished by exposing the same piece of film more than once as we see with double exposure. In narrative film, superimposition is often used for dissolve shots. In Kenneth Anger’s experimental film Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome (1954), Anger superimposed up to four images on top of each other.”

Columbia Film Language Glossary: Superimposition. (n.d.). Retrieved July 10, 2016, from https://filmglossary.ccnmtl.columbia.edu/term/superimposition/

Collage
Different footages will be played in the same screen and time, thus, the screen splits to 2 or 3 sections.

The film forms are divided into 3 parts: narrative, documentary and experimental. This video is an observational documentary. The feature is simply observe, allowing viewers to reach the conclusions. With my above proposed film languages, the video will not be pure observational documentary. I may also include a performative documentary footage in it.
