Urban Hong Kong and old Hong Kong
For the project 2, my idea is inspired by a foreign photographer who said Hong Kong is a special place, nature is not far away from the city. That makes me wonder, Hong Kong is actually a special place which contained many things in it. Cultures, architecture and people are all existing in a small city like Hong Kong.
If the project has so many topics in it, it will be a mess. Therefore, i decide to choose architecture as my project's theme. Hong Kong is unlike with other city, such as New York or Tokyo. They have many buildings inside and it's difficult to find a traditional architecture. Although Hong Kong is full of urban buildings too, we can still find some traditional architecture around those buildings. In my project, i would like to take photos about the strangeness of this. Urban building and traditional architecture in a single photo to emphasis the strangeness. Also, Central and Western District is one of the places which contain urban and old buildings, this is where i started my photo shooting.
