Historic Buildings in Hong Kong
Project statement:
The idea of my project has been changed after the first meeting with Wesley. Originally I decide to capture photos with the historic buildings that are well-known in Hong Kong. For example, The Blue House, Former Central Police Station Compound and Murray House. The purpose of this project is to enhance the public awareness on heritage conservation and the target audience is the young generations and the foreigners. However, Wesley suggested me to discover the historic buildings that are unfamiliar in Hong Kong and far away from the urban places.
After my decision, I agree with his saying and follow this path in order to develop my project. After that, I decide to categories into 4 sections, there are 20 photos in total. The first section is the object inside the historic buildings, the second section is the buildings which is dark inside or even without light. The third part is the internal look of the buildings and the fourth part is the external look of the buildings.
Here's the definition of historic buildings and objects:
Historic buildings refers to the constructions that are designed mainly to preserve human activities.
Historic objects refers to the substance that are relatively small in scale, which provide cultural values and associated with specific setting or environment.
