The message of my video is about present
the problem of cyber violence (priority seat), so I found so research to
develop my idea.
A research from Polytechnic University in SCMP found that more than 60% of
interviewees thought filming people who refuse to give up their seats and
uploading the video on the internet could deter impolite passengers. The
smartphones and social media can play a role in it. However, it is a cyber-bullying.
They would not consider the problem of it. In Singapore, there is also public
trial problem. A man had refused to give up his seat and then a woman put his
photo on internet. The Straitstimes News interviewed that woman. She said since
he can be so blatantly inconsiderate, she thought there’s nothing wrong with
putting up his picture. Why do they think like that? It has become prevalent in
society today. However, it also can have a serious consequence.
A senior
Lecturer in Psychology, Dr Gayle Brewer pointed out that the victim will feel
vulnerable and anxious because others are judging he/she, talking about their behavior.
Their image has been posted to the internet can be extremely upsetting. Therefore,
people need to review this problem and it is the purpose of my video.
