My project 2 of “The Aroma of Tai O”, which is about introducing the
techniques of food preservation in Tai O.
According to the Tai O is regarded as a tranquil fishing town, there
is containing many varieties of fish. Since 1950s, their fish marinating and
drying is one of a traditional ingenious crafts for the Tai O indigenous
inhabitants, they are adopting their techniques to preserve the abundant
harvest of fish and enhance the flavor of foods, for instance, salted fish,
fish maw, dried shrimp, shrimp block and shrimp paste are the valuable food
product.And this traditional ingenious craft remains to the present day and
became one of a specialty in Tai O. Therefore, I would like to adopt photograph to present the aroma of Tai O. Also, I will visit the Shrimp paste factory in Tai
O and having an short interview with the owner.
